Presidential hopeful, Newt Gingrich:

“There was no Palestine as a state. It was part of the Ottoman Empire. We’ve had an invented Palestinian people who are in fact Arabs and who were historically part of the Arab community. And they had a chance to go many places.”

And? Does this mean they deserve no rights as a people now that they have formed together?

Let me educate you, Newt:

Americans are an invented people, too. You formed a nation, then you formed as a people. Historically the founding Americans were of various descents, but you could easily describe many as English. Are you English, Newt? Did those English ancestors not have the chance to go many places? Do you not deserve your country? Do you not deserve to be called an American?

Since we’re talking Palestine, let’s talk Israel. Yes, Jews had a history which traced back thousands of years, but they were given a homeland thanks to the British Palestine Mandate. Amusingly enough, the same era of history that the Palestinians trace their roots back to. Because you see, Newt, the very same thing which created Israel, created the Palestinians.

You seem to have a very low opinion of everything Arab, Newt, but a very high opinion of Israel. I find this interesting. A character flaw which means that you seem to be trying to enter the most powerful office in the country with a head full of prejudices and bias.

Alaska knows Sarah Palin best and just recently in the very small town of Anchorage, an anti-Palin rally just took place, the largest ever in the history of the state!

Isn’t it a little bit scary that stories of her not performing well have been surfacing on a regular basis from the town (where she was mayor) and state of Alaska, saying how bad she was at those jobs, yet people elsewhere really do seem prepared to potentially make this woman the president of the United States, should something happen to McCain.

Honestly, it’s scary. I recently saw an amateur movie (made with Palin’s approval – before she was announced as VP) which showed Palin has an Israeli flag in her house, when asked she said she “likes Israel”. Ya – good one… I’m sure that will really help with the security of the United States. Israel is not full of angels and unfortunately the U.S. media are so pathetic that most of the population have no idea just how badly the United States is thought of, even in parts of the world they consider friends.

I really think that if the U.S. population are stupid enough to vote a particular way (the same way) this time, they are going to find a world population giving them very little respect. For me, it’s a mark of poor media, bad education and general ignorance. I hope things don’t turn out badly or the rest of the world will be thinking of the U.S. in an even worse light than that!

Unfortunately, I’m seeing an awful lot of reaction based upon the people up for election rather then policy, party or even politics. How stupid are those people? Very stupid.

During the John McCain VP announcement they showed a person in the crowd that said: “VETS for a Veteran”. So, let me get this straight, you think he would make a good President, because he spent time in a cage? By that logic, we should all employ Ex-Cons to look after our children rather than that nice girl down the street.

I should point out, perhaps, that if you vote for McCain, you are voting for the Republican Party. If you vote for Obama, you’re voting for the Democrats. You’re not voting for McCain or Obama – they are puppets who will do whatever the party line tells them to (or, to put it in a more explanatory manner – whatever makes them the most friends in the Senate who will then side with them on future votes).

Please, please, please. Vote based on policy and politics, not the people. McCain’s VP candidate might be pretty, she might have had a down syndrome kid, but that does NOT mean she would make a good VP, does it? Considering just how much time McCain has spent lashing out at Obama about Foreign Policy and his lack of experience, I would have thought her a pretty poor choice compared to Obama’s choice of VP…

Anyway… NOTHING you have heard about Barack Obama or John McCain tells you they would be a good President – you will find this out over the next four years and then make a change, I hope. Vote based on the values you have and which party fits those best… PLEASE!

“I deeply regret the comments, they were inappropriate,” Charlie Black said in a statement after McCain said that if Black had made such a comment, “I strenuously disagree” with it.

“I recognize that John McCain has devoted his entire adult life to protecting his country and placing its security before every other consideration,” said Black, one of McCain’s most trusted political advisers.

Fortune magazine said Black, in discussing how national security was McCain’s strong suit, had said when asked about another terrorist attack on U.S. soil that “certainly it would be a big advantage to him.”

Sheila and I were walking down Michigan Avenue today when we came upon a man wearing a Sandwich Board. In big, bold letters it said: “Cancel this Election”

I was curious, so as we continued to get closer I read the rest of the text and it said that Presidential Candidates currently in the race for the White House need to be D.N.A. tested, to confirm they are American.

So I laughed and as we carried on walking, I explained to Sheila why I had laughed…

Only someone born in the United States can be eligible for the position of President, and D.N.A. proves absolutely nothing about whether someone is an American or not.

The city of Chicago has a large Polish community, many will marry and have kids with other Polish-Americans, their D.N.A. would read as 100% Eastern-European, but many of them are now third or fourth generation American citizens, born and bred.

The stupidity of this man was very clear for me to see, it’s obvious his rationale of using D.N.A. to test whether someone is American is obviously flawed in every aspect, it is also obvious that this man’s agenda is regarding the race of the candidates… Now who could he be referring to?

I just hope many of the Americans who have the right to vote, who also walked by that man today, are educated and intelligent enough to realize how uneducated and stupid that man is, and how he is out there with an agenda to do damage to a man purely based on his race.

Rest of the world: Time to cross your fingers…

With pictures of Barack Obama being dressed in a turban circulating the media at the moment, I feel I have to mention something…

The turban is not Muslim wear. In fact that his father is from Kenya, the photo was taken in Kenya – and that the dress he was wearing – was tribal wear.

The turban is mostly worn by (I believe) Sikh males. America has quite a few people who are under-educated and who will see this as one of Obama’s ‘links’ to terrorism. I wonder why the renewed media frenzy is happening right now? Maybe we should ask Hillary.

So, now that I’ve said that, let’s not forget to mention that every world leader wears non-western dress when visiting non-western locations. Search Google for the name of anyone and the words “silly hat” – you’ll see some interesting images!

Just for the sake of levelling the playing field, here’s a photo of Hillary wearing something non-western – and *shock* – is Hillary a ‘commie’!?

The other day Hillary said: “Obama brings words, not actions.”

Hillary, I hate to break it to you, but you’re bringing more words than he is and yours are all about putting the man down. You spend all your time saying how everyone else is bad and not a word on how you would do it differently. The only way you seem to think you can win now is by making Obama look bad… Why aren’t you busy trying to make yourself look good?

To me? You just seem a little too bitchy. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve nothing against strong women… It’s just that you seem more like a bitchy man! Listening to your speeches right now, it’s like being on the guest list for a Gay Wedding and you’re the skinny one with perfect skin who just got left at the Alter…

The other day you accused Obama of plagiarizing another politicians speeches, I had to laugh upon finding out that the person who said those words first is a close friend of Obama and is campaigning for him – even after Obama ‘stole his words’ he seems to still like him a lot, so maybe it wasn’t as big a deal as you would like it to be. Infact both Obama and Patrick (original speaker) merely shrugged it off, Patrick actually extending his support for Obama once again in the process…

You know, in this world where every word is scrutinized, perhaps Obama shouldn’t have used someone else’s words. But the fact is, Patrick was also using someone else’s words. Does anyone still remember the original “I have a dream”? – I don’t think it was by Patrick…
