Job Losses Comparison for recent recessions.

Don’t waste your vote for President on the person…

Saturday, August 30th, 2008

Unfortunately, I’m seeing an awful lot of reaction based upon the people up for election rather then policy, party or even politics. How stupid are those people? Very stupid.

During the John McCain VP announcement they showed a person in the crowd that said: “VETS for a Veteran”. So, let me get this straight, you think he would make a good President, because he spent time in a cage? By that logic, we should all employ Ex-Cons to look after our children rather than that nice girl down the street.

I should point out, perhaps, that if you vote for McCain, you are voting for the Republican Party. If you vote for Obama, you’re voting for the Democrats. You’re not voting for McCain or Obama – they are puppets who will do whatever the party line tells them to (or, to put it in a more explanatory manner – whatever makes them the most friends in the Senate who will then side with them on future votes).

Please, please, please. Vote based on policy and politics, not the people. McCain’s VP candidate might be pretty, she might have had a down syndrome kid, but that does NOT mean she would make a good VP, does it? Considering just how much time McCain has spent lashing out at Obama about Foreign Policy and his lack of experience, I would have thought her a pretty poor choice compared to Obama’s choice of VP…

Anyway… NOTHING you have heard about Barack Obama or John McCain tells you they would be a good President – you will find this out over the next four years and then make a change, I hope. Vote based on the values you have and which party fits those best… PLEASE!

Obama’s Pastor

Monday, March 17th, 2008

I’m not going to write a huge long post about this.

I’ll just point out that pretty much anything that any religious figure says is controversial to me… For this Pastor to say (in my interpretation of the WHOLE sermon) that 9/11 was America’s punishment for doing what it does, is nothing more than a lot of people have said. Perhaps because he is black, or perhaps it’s because he is Obama’s pastor (and people like to think Obama is a Muslim), it’s more offensive?

Honestly people, crack yourselves over the head with something blunt and come to your senses, the sermon was nothing but political commentary. In my opinion the far bigger insult would have been all those who said they’d ‘pray for the victims’ – like praying for anything makes any bloody difference.

The Presidential Race…

Tuesday, March 4th, 2008

I have to admit, I am so excited today – and for a really weird reason considering I am not a U.S. citizen or legal to vote!

After eight years of darkness under the Evil Sith Lord, we are about to enter a new era (I hope)…

Over the past week or so, Sheila and I have watched all the Star Wars movies, I couldn’t help but draw a parallel to the current events. ;)

D.N.A. Tests for Presidential Candidates?

Friday, February 29th, 2008

Sheila and I were walking down Michigan Avenue today when we came upon a man wearing a Sandwich Board. In big, bold letters it said: “Cancel this Election”

I was curious, so as we continued to get closer I read the rest of the text and it said that Presidential Candidates currently in the race for the White House need to be D.N.A. tested, to confirm they are American.

So I laughed and as we carried on walking, I explained to Sheila why I had laughed…

Only someone born in the United States can be eligible for the position of President, and D.N.A. proves absolutely nothing about whether someone is an American or not.

The city of Chicago has a large Polish community, many will marry and have kids with other Polish-Americans, their D.N.A. would read as 100% Eastern-European, but many of them are now third or fourth generation American citizens, born and bred.

The stupidity of this man was very clear for me to see, it’s obvious his rationale of using D.N.A. to test whether someone is American is obviously flawed in every aspect, it is also obvious that this man’s agenda is regarding the race of the candidates… Now who could he be referring to?

I just hope many of the Americans who have the right to vote, who also walked by that man today, are educated and intelligent enough to realize how uneducated and stupid that man is, and how he is out there with an agenda to do damage to a man purely based on his race.

Rest of the world: Time to cross your fingers…

Islamophobia? Surely not! – For f*ck’s sake! It’s just a turban!

Tuesday, February 26th, 2008

With pictures of Barack Obama being dressed in a turban circulating the media at the moment, I feel I have to mention something…

The turban is not Muslim wear. In fact that his father is from Kenya, the photo was taken in Kenya – and that the dress he was wearing – was tribal wear.

The turban is mostly worn by (I believe) Sikh males. America has quite a few people who are under-educated and who will see this as one of Obama’s ‘links’ to terrorism. I wonder why the renewed media frenzy is happening right now? Maybe we should ask Hillary.

So, now that I’ve said that, let’s not forget to mention that every world leader wears non-western dress when visiting non-western locations. Search Google for the name of anyone and the words “silly hat” – you’ll see some interesting images!

Just for the sake of levelling the playing field, here’s a photo of Hillary wearing something non-western – and *shock* – is Hillary a ‘commie’!?

Is anyone still listening to ‘Bitchy’ Clinton?

Wednesday, February 20th, 2008

The other day Hillary said: “Obama brings words, not actions.”

Hillary, I hate to break it to you, but you’re bringing more words than he is and yours are all about putting the man down. You spend all your time saying how everyone else is bad and not a word on how you would do it differently. The only way you seem to think you can win now is by making Obama look bad… Why aren’t you busy trying to make yourself look good?

obama-clinton-cropped.jpg

To me? You just seem a little too bitchy. Don’t get me wrong, I’ve nothing against strong women… It’s just that you seem more like a bitchy man! Listening to your speeches right now, it’s like being on the guest list for a Gay Wedding and you’re the skinny one with perfect skin who just got left at the Alter…

The other day you accused Obama of plagiarizing another politicians speeches, I had to laugh upon finding out that the person who said those words first is a close friend of Obama and is campaigning for him – even after Obama ’stole his words’ he seems to still like him a lot, so maybe it wasn’t as big a deal as you would like it to be. Infact both Obama and Patrick (original speaker) merely shrugged it off, Patrick actually extending his support for Obama once again in the process…

You know, in this world where every word is scrutinized, perhaps Obama shouldn’t have used someone else’s words. But the fact is, Patrick was also using someone else’s words. Does anyone still remember the original “I have a dream”? – I don’t think it was by Patrick…

McCain moves into commanding position…

Wednesday, February 6th, 2008

It is starting to look very much like John McCain will be the Republican Party candidate for President of the United States and I have to say, I don’t mind that too much. Although I think that as a whole the voting system is a bit weird (the person with the popular vote – who has the most people voting for him – doesn’t necessarily win the election), I think that whoever wins this time will be a welcome change, be it he or she, Democrat or Republican. My picks (as I posted this time last year) are John McCain or Barack Obama…

In any case, the American people should take note of what happened last time before the big vote.

Is Jesse Jackson Racist? He critisizes Obama for “acting white”…

Wednesday, September 19th, 2007

You know, I don’t know much about Jesse Jackson – I’m new to the USA – but I did see him speaking out on issues a lot since I have been here and I did look into the history of the man, because I was curious and wondered why he often seemed to be speaking in an anti-white way.

What Jesse Jackson used to say – a few years ago – mattered. He really spoke out on issues that needed to be voiced and needed to be heard. These days? He just seems like a racist man out to serve his own personal agenda, jumping onto issues that can in any way be linked to race (even if that connection to race is purely circumstantial).

According to a South Carolina newspaper, Jackson recently attacked Barack Obama for “acting white” and failing to act on convictions of black kids by an all-white jury. First, obviously, his comments appear racist and prejudice towards the intelligence of white people. He is suggesting that white people are unable to make a decision on the guilt or innocence of a black person without prejudice. That’s racism, isn’t it?

Also, Jackson quite clearly recognises skin colour, something that a non-racist wouldn’t tend to. He obviously recognises that Obama is black (or half-black, actually) and seems to ‘expect’ him to act a certain way because of it, he also obviously sees white people as different, even less capable than himself.

I do understand that there is a possibility of a link to racism for this case (or at least at the school involved), but these days what Jesse Jackson says does not matter. He brings negativity and he consistently reinforces stereotypes. He constantly makes it obvious that the white man is a white man and the black man is a black man – they aren’t just ‘people’ in his eyes.

Jesse Jackson keeps racism alive.

Only 29% think the war was right?

Thursday, March 22nd, 2007

Ok so, if we knew what we knew now, most of us probably wouldn’t have agreed with going to war. But back in those joyful days, we didn’t know what we know now, did we?

Just the other night in Chicago there was an anti-war march, as Sheila and I sat in the Chili’s restaurant (I love the “oldtimer burger, with cheese”) everyone was finishing up and coming in with their banners in hand…

Is there really any point in protesting the war right now? Short of Barak Obama’s “promise” of bringing the troops home, there really is no end to the war in sight and I honestly believe that pulling out now is a bad idea.

Remember the Gulf War? Do any of you remember that? Frankly I am glad we finished the job somewhat because Saddam brought his Iraq to the brink of war many, many times. Infact why not read some information about that yourself.

Hindsight… Hindsight is the major factor in people’s belief that the war was wrong… The fact is, we can’t do anything now but ensure that we leave Iraq as a country we want to communicate and do business with in the future, not one that is more likely to turn into a terrorist state. Why do I think Iraq would turn that way? LOOK AT IT. We should not, no… cannot leave yet.
