I have written some race reports. Some have videos and all are written from my personal perspective in each race.
My involvement with simracing goes back many years. I was brought up in an F1 family where waking up at 2am to watch the races in Japan or Australia seemed normal. My childhood was spent supporting Nigel Mansell and Damon Hill, but I did eventually (thanks to Mansell’s Atlantic crossing mainly) start watching other forms of motorsport like IndyCar and NASCAR. This interest in racing lead directly to an interest in racing games.

Stunt Car Racer (1989)
One of the first racing games I remember was
Stunt Car Racer on the Amiga. I played it a little at a friends but most of my time was spent at that point playing things like
Pole Position or
Test Drive. The first title I really got addicted to was
Indy 500 – The Simulation by Papyrus, I actually didn’t have a PC at that point but did spend the time I was supposed to be reading books during my school exams playing it instead at a friends house.

Indianapolis 500 - The Simulation (1989)
After
Indy 500 and a few other titles like Nigel Mansell’s racing game came Geoff Crammond’s
F1GP. This title kept me going for quite a few years and I began to make some modifications to it for each season, programming it so that each driver was properly named and cars were the same colors as their real-life counterparts. By the time the sequel was released I had started to become interested in the newer Papyrus releases and started to run
IndyCar Racing and
NASCAR Racing instead.

Formula One Grand Prix (1992)
In 1998 Papyrus released
Grand Prix Legends (GPL) and this had a huge impact on my entire life. I founded a Web site (see below) about it, began
racing online with it and it’s actually led me in my life to where I am today. My love affair with GPL lasted a few years but was eventually overcome with NASCAR titles.

Grand Prix Legends (1998)
The Papyrus
NASCAR Racing titles kept me entertained until the day they released their last title in 2003, mainly due to the fact that I felt F1 had become very processional and was watching NASCAR instead. The exception came from Image Space Incorporated (ISI): I had bought every one of their titles but only probably
Sportscar GT and
F1 Challenge ’99-’02 kept me coming back for a long while. Eventually I started to play a bit with some of the mods for the ISI titles along with the other software based on their engines (like SIMBIN’s first title;
GTR), but in 2005 was hired by
iRacing.com Motorsport Simulations (a company made of most members from Papyrus).

iRacing (2008)
Between 2005 and 2010 (when I started working for Image Space Incorporated) I hadn’t run much except iRacing along with an occasional dip into ISI’s
rFactor and it’s many mods. And now, due to testing, I’m just doing testing with
rFactor 2.
Sim racing Web site:
Another thing probably worth mentioning in relation to my history in simracing is that I co-founded Race Sim Central (RSC). It was formed by me individually first of all when in 1999 I started to post race reports about my Grand Prix Legends league races. The site was called Legends Central and in 2001 merged with a Danish Web site called simracing.dk (which formed the Danish language forums of RSC). I remained as one of the main administrators of the site until 2005 when I joined iRacing, quitting all involvement to avoid any conflict of interest with other developers at that time. During my time at RSC, it grew in the forums from zero to 80,000 members!
