A group of friends and I were in Otou checking out the Asteroid Belts for any resident Pirates, when we came upon a group of ships who seemed to want a fight. So, my friends (who were in far better ships that I) fought them, beat them, then they went and got more ships and wanted to go at it again.

We ended up being 5 vs. 5 and with me in a long range drone-carrier fitting I simply warped into the battle last at a range of 80km. I aided the other members of the fleet with whatever they were attacking and the enemies didn’t really notice me until the end. They sent Keats’ Embryon up to take me out. I noticed right away that when in close range contact, his weapons were ineffective, so I simply activated my afterburner and flew towards him, keeping the range low and his weapons useless… I called my drones back and destroyed him quite easily.

Chrysis73 was a rookie in every sense of the word. I am very surprised that he even attempted to steal ore from me – but I probably gave him a false sense of security by not targetting him prior to his theft.

I saw him fly into the belt and watched him align his ship with my jettison can. I waited until he flew to my can and started to flash red (when he had taken some ore) before targetting and warp scrambling him. I then launched my drones and he exploded fairly quickly.

I killed this well known Ore Thief in Vittenyn while I was mining. He warped in a few times and managed to get away into warp, so I asked one of my friends what could be allowing him to evade my warp scrambler and sent my second character to collect suitable modules I could fit to my Hulk.

I didn’t know whether he had more Warp points than me, or whether he was using ECM to block my targetting, so I fitted for both. As you can see from the Destroyed Items list, I managed to finally Scramble him because I held three points after fitting, to his two.

After scrambling him I used my drones to eat away at his ship and he exploded pretty quickly now that he could not escape.

An accidental killing while I was testing the capability of my Warrior II’s with current skill levels. The test conclusion was that they do indeed do some damage – and actually do it so fast that I didn’t have time to stop before blowing Kaldira up… I felt really bad about this, but Kal seemed to take it in his stride.

In a way, I am dissapointed I didn’t get more credit for this kill. If you look at the damage done – I did 64% and in reality – I did about 63% of it in my Hulk…

Logan used the well-known tactic of ‘can flipping’ in order to get some aggression out of me. He flew towards me, emptied my ore out of my jettison can and put it into one of his own – if I either fired on him (as I was now able to) or took my ore back – he’d then be able to fire on me.

I opened fire on him with my drones while alone in my Hulk and we seemed fairly evenly matched, I sent out a distress call to some of my friends who began to fly towards me offering aid. By the time they got there I had Logan down to his Hull – but I was almost as heavily damaged.

When my friends did arrive it gave me an opportunity to leave and get strapped into my Vexor which was waiting in a nearby station, I returned to the fight just in time to send my drones before my friend, Arazel, finished off the Ore Thief for me.
