The Lake Katherine Nature Center in Palos Heights, Illinois, is a free-to-enter home for many types of plants and animals around a small lake. I have seen Beaver, Turtles, Fish, Insects and Birds of many kinds all during 2011.

This year we visited quite a few times and got some really nice photos. It was very hard to get down to 12 from the year – again – and this time I included one which Sheila took of a Swan because of the amazing content she captured.
