
For those reading who may not know, iRacing time trials are single car competitions which run on the track being raced each week. You have to do a series of laps without error and it’s your average laptime that goes forward as your final result. Points are then calculated as the week goes along so that the fastest car overall gets 100 points and the slowest gets 1 point, if you are exactly between those two in time you would get 50 points.
I missed weeks four and five due to how busy I was with work. Still, I found myself in contention when I returned so decided to carry on competing in all the TT’s I had previously. With Week 6 of the 2010 Season 2 (almost) in the books here are my time trial results (at time of posting) from Week 6 only:

As you can see I did great in all the oval divisional points, getting a top-three in every single one again. I didn’t fare so well on the roadcourses, where a track that’s becoming a bit of a nemesis managed to destroy me! I simply have no luck finding a rhythm at Sebring…
So with the points totalled up after Week 6 I find myself in the top-three for every single oval time trial division I am competing in, holding first-place in three of them. This is especially surprising considering in most of the time trials I have two weeks less scores on the board than everyone else, so in two weeks when we reach week nine I should leap forward as other people start to drop their worst weeks and gain smaller amounts, while I still have two full weeks to score from!
I seriously think I can still finish in the top-three in every single time trial division (even the two roadcourse ones where I currently am in eighth-place). An overall title is looking a little out of reach now, but it might be possible to make the top-three in maybe the Silver Crown (I am 13th and have those two weeks in-hand).
It is still looking like I might not be in a position to take an overall time trial championship, although I am doing pretty good with the Advanced Legends, Silver Crown and SK Modified.
