I ended up having to let it go due to lack of space, but I can probably estimate for you.

I think everything would hold up very well with the exception of the back of the seat near the headrest. It started to open up by the holes. Not in any way which would harm the usage and you could easily stick it back in. It wasn't a seam or anything, just the edges of the actual fabric.

Hello! Looking around at cockpits and came across this review. I know this article is a couple of years old so I'm curious if the Obutto has held up over time?

Thanks!

It's great for everything, in my opinion.

You can detach the wheel (with the wheel attached, it hits the clamps) and swing the keyboard shelf around so rather than being at the side it is right infront of you. I also just use the shifter platform for the mouse as I have a trackball, but the keyboard shelf is easily big enough to hold keyboard and mouse if you wanted to.

Like I said, I think it's great for everything, I no-longer have a desk for my PC at home, just the cockpit.

Great and very imformative review Tim.
Im very tempted to purchase one as id like to take this hobby a step further than wheel attached to desk etc.
The only problem i see is i play other games too as does my little boy on my gaming pc.
Normally i just detatch the wheel and move to the side thus opening up the desk for normal gaming use.
Could i play first person shooters and MMO games from the cockpit?
I realise it will be comfy etc but how is the space for the mouse?
Can i move the keyboard to a more desirable position for these type of games and back again for simracing?

Great review Tim!

I've been thinking about building my own sim cockpit, but for the money and flexibility, this cannot be beat. Just placed my order.

This is by far the best bang for the buck!!! It comes very well packaged and its easy enough to put together w/out instructions. Other setups are overpriced and have almost the same features. Every sim-racer should invest in one of these!!!
