My friends found this kill hysterical. There really was no way I should have been able to pull this kill off I think - not with so little experience and such a low skill level…
I noticed Rackar the instant he flew into the asteroid belt. I switched my view to see where he was flying and when I saw he was heading towards me, immediately started researching his ship to see if I’d be able to destroy it if I took him on in a fight.
I decided that I would attempt it (hey, it was worth a shot) and I waited patiently until he got within range to take from my jettison can. I’m pretty sure that Rackar had no intention of fighting and my surprise drone launch caught him off-guard as he didn’t even target me for a few seconds after I started to do damage.
At first, Rackar concentrated fire on my Hulk - which he was attempting to Warp Scramble, not knowing that I had a Stabalizer fitted that would allow me to escape if I had to. But, when he saw that I was eating away at his ship faster than he was mine, he switched to attacking my drones (which was the right thing to do - take out my guns, then with me scrambled - he thought - he’d be able to slowly pick me off while I was helpless).
One by one my drones exploded and as they did I launched another and another. By the time I came to my last drone Rackar knew his time had come and sent me “Good Fight” in the chat channel as his ship exploded. This was a real fight of attrition and it was a lot of fun.
