Richard Branson donates money to Murder Suspects?
Now, I can understand his reasoning… Branson is a nice guy, believe it or not, and he is very intelligent. But I have to say that it is a little stupid to donate money to fund the legal costs of a suspected murderer. Whether they did it or not is none of my business, neither is it his - is it?
One thing I do know is that it’s possible to kill a child in a freak accident - it’s also possible to kill a child in cold-blood. It’s possible for parents to do very evil things to their own children, the disbelief at the McCann’s being named suspects is understandable, but only because you don’t think they did it. It only really matters if the Police think they did it - and can prove it. At the very least, perhaps the Police have just-cause to prosecute for neglect?
If they can’t prove the McCann’s had a hand in her disappearance, why would they even try? Because they’re being made to look bad having not recovered a body? Because they haven’t traced and rescued the girl? Because they haven’t actually made any progress in over four months? Oh, maybe you have a point!
