After playing Frontier: Elite 2 (a space game, which featured this composition), I always kind of liked the music from that “soundtrack”. I decided to make a video of Silent Hunter 4 (now that it works properly - with the 1.2 patch) to my favorite classical piece.

Bob can’t get an erection so he goes to the doctor. The doctor tells him the muscles at the base of his penis are broken down and there’s nothing he can do unless he’s willing to try an experimental surgery.

Bob asks what the surgery is and the doctor tells him they take the muscles from the base of a baby elephant’s trunk, insert them in the base of his penis, and hope for the best. Bob says that sounds pretty scary but the thought of never having sex again is even scarier, so he says ok. The doctor goes ahead and performs the surgery and about 6 weeks later he gives Bob the go ahead to “try out his new equipment”.

Bob takes his wife out to dinner. While at dinner Bob starts feeling incredible pressure in his pants. It gets unbearable and he figures no one can see him so he undoes his pants. No sooner does he do this than his penis pops out of his pants, rolls across the table, grabs an apple from the fruit basket, and disappears back into his pants.

His wife sits in shock for a few moments, and then gets a sly look on her face. She says, “That was pretty cool! Can you do that again?” With his eyes watering and a painful look on his face, Bob says, “Probably, but I don’t know if I can fit another apple up my ass.”

The very first ever Blonde GUY joke. Well worth the wait!

An Irishman, a Mexican and a Blonde Guy were doing construction work on scaffolding on the 20th floor of a building.

They were eating lunch and the Irishman said, “Corned beef and cabbage! If I get corned beef and cabbage one more time for lunch, I’m going to jump off this building.”

The Mexican opened his lunch box and exclaimed, “Burritos again! If I get burritos one more time I’m going to jump off, too.”

The blonde opened his lunch and said, ” Bologna again! If I get a bologna sandwich one more time, I’m jumping too.”

The next day, the Irishman opened his lunch box, saw corned beef and cabbage, and jumped to his death. The Mexican opened his lunch, saw a burrito, and jumped, too. The blonde guy opened his lunch, saw the bologna and jumped to his death as well.

At the funeral, the Irishman’s wife was weeping. She said, “If I’d known how really tired he was of corned beef and cabbage, I never would have given it to him again!”

The Mexican’s wife also wept and said, “I could have given him tacos or enchiladas! I didn’t realize he hated burritos so much.”

Everyone turned and stared at the blonde’s wife. The blonde’s wife said, “Don’t look at me. He makes his own lunch”

Woah. Either I have never really had the flu before, or this is a different strain that I have no immunity to because I’m out of my normal area of the world…

I started feeling a headache on Tuesday, woke up on Wednesday with the same headache then gradually through the day felt worse and worse. Waking on Thursday I was incredibly hot, so opening the windows I’d find myself then shivering. I wound up spending all day Thursday and Friday in bed with a sore throat, dodgy nose, extremely sore throat, fever, sweating, shivers (I sometimes went from shivers to sweating then back to shivers within minutes).

This afternoon is the first day I’ve really been able to get out of bed. I am still very low on energy, but my only symptoms right now are that I feel hot and my throat is still sore.

So, does anyone know if our world is still “small” enough for immunity (of sorts) to “local” flu to mean nothing when you catch a foreign flu? I know in the days of the explorers, many people from local tribes in Africa and the Americas died as the European explorers brought over illnesses the locals had no immunity to.

As mentioned the other day when I listed the features of this new patch, the new 1.2 patch for Silent Hunter 4 has been released. I am going to reinstall SH4 and see if I am able to cope with the bugs…

It is written in the U.S. constitution that all have rights to bear arms, so why can’t this be changed? Sure, the founding fathers had some great ideas, but they lived in a different time. Isn’t it time for change? Isn’t it possible to adapt as times change? Whether you are leading a nation or a religion, you cannot live by rules and guidelines set 200 years ago just as much as you can’t by rules or guidelines set 2000 years ago. Times change!

If people have a hobby with guns, that is fine, but why can’t the gun clubs hold the guns with the paper targets, rather than letting people take their guns home? Why are people allowed handguns? Why are people allowed assault rifiles? Surely the only reason for that type of gun (outside a gun club where you’re shooting paper targets) is to shoot people? The only people I can understand having guns are perhaps farmers, rangers or other workers who have to control (at times) dangerous animals.

Today, over twenty people were killed at a college in Virginia. Is it time for a change? Is it time to make finding a gun more difficult? A person who goes crazy with a knife could cause plenty of damage, but they could be overpowered… It is very hard to overpower a bullet.

So, do I reinstall SH4 and give it a shot? It does seem that a lot of the bugs are not covered in this patch, such as a broken Chronometer.

Also, these fixes were listed as what should be in the next patch, not what will be. I sure hope they tested these… I’d hate to see new bugs from these fixes.

NEW FEATURES
1. Modified the game rendering to accept FSAA and fixed high resolution rendering.
2. Added “Volumetric Fog” as a stand alone option, no longer member of the “Environmental Effects”.
3. Added a new sound volume option, “Radio Volume”, that controls the Radio and Gramophone volume.

GAMEPLAY CHANGES
1. Tuned the submarines efficiency mechanics
2. Fixed the damage model for the Kinposan Maru/Medium Modern Split Superstructure Freighter
3. Tuned the malfunction rates for torpedoes. Mk 10 Torpedoes will be more reliable now, as per historical data. Go Sugar boats!
4. Improved the Periscope/TBT torpedo status panel by making only the currently loading tube blink, instead of all that are in the queue
5. Tuned the submarines damage model
6. Added a new tuning option for the radio news/music volume ratio

BUG FIXES
1. Fixed a sound volume issue where some sound volumes were ignored in the game.
2. Removed crashes in replay and multiplayer.
3. Fixed a bug where refit in friendly harbors would not refit the cannon ammunition.
4. The “Maintain Current Depth” command (letter ‘A’) crash was fixed.
5. Position Keeper for negative bearings fix.
6. Fixed a bug where explosions were played in the scene after a load or a replay even if the explosion took place a long time ago.
7. Fixed the ‘invisible monolith’ that, if looking at it, will greatly reduce FPS.
8. Fixed a bug where the difficulty settings of the game were ignored in multiplayer. The game now starts with the selected settings from the session page.
9. Fixed a bug where, sometimes, if pressing the Stadimeter button the game would crash.
10. Fixed a bug where, When hovering over highlatable objects in 3d career room, the texture would dissapear.
11. Fixed a bug where, when pressing SHIFT+F2 in any 2d page the game would crash.
12. Fixed the bug in adversarial where the Escort Commander could see your submarine on the navigation map even if the sub was underwater.
13. Fixed a bug where the name on the captain’s watch appears to be “Stevens”. Nah, just kidding
14. Fixed the SD Air Search radar so that it no longer detects ships.
15. Fixed the Torpedo drag model. Now high speed torpedoes will hit fine.
