Anyone who knows me in my personal life, knows that I won’t travel without a seatbelt – and I won’t let those I care about travel without one either.
Anyone in the UK in the last day will have seen the horror crash, killing two, injuring many and shocking us all. For people to have needed amputations at the scene, and for people to have been “piled up” inside the coach, I can’t help but think that people are not a) Respecting the law, since 2001 it was illegal to travel on a coach made since 2001 without a seatbelt. b) Respecting their own life enough to put a belt on.
There are an awful lot of coaches in the UK still running that were made before 2001, in these coaches, there is no need to wear a seatbelt – this is idiotic.
So, next time you don’t wear a seatbelt, think of how silly that really is. By not wearing a seatbelt, you’re not caring about yourself enough and you’re not caring about what your death would do to those who love you either. Think, please, every time you get in a vehicle.
