Are Americans made aware of “friendly fire” incidents?
In 1991, American forces in A-10′s opened fire on British APC’s, killing eight soldiers in a so-called “friendly fire” incident from US forces. During the entire operation to liberate Kuwait, only a further eight were killed by the enemy, equalling the number killed by our friends.
2003, a local translater was killed and a BBC journalist injured in a “friendly fire” incident from US forces. This happening while the journalists were being escorted by US Special Forces.
2003, a patriot missile shot down a British Fighter Jet, in Iraq, killing the pilot and navigator.
2003, another British soldier killed while under fire from American A-10′s.
2005, two Italian journalists killed, one Bulgarian solder killed by American “friendly fire”.
2006, NATO convoy attacked by two A-10′s in Afghanistan, killing one Canadian soldier and injuring five others.
The reason I listed those, is to make people aware just how often “friendly fire” incidents actually happen among the US military. Hearing on the news this morning that the death of Terry Lloyd may have also been a “friendly fire” incident really was the final straw… It seems for a nation that is so liberal on gun law, even writing it into the constitution, the USA have no idea how to point at the right people.

Shame it had to be our guys…

comments spoken by someone who has never heard a shot fired in anger!
Guess that means I am not allowed to have an opinion and voice it then? What are you, a Commie?
I’m pretty glad I haven’t heard a U.S. shot, fired in anger. It might have hit me rather than the enemy.
